A strange thing happened tonight: Jon and I managed to sneak away for some time alone. In the chaos that reigns in our house right now (Tracy and her three kids are living with us) it's hard to complete a thought, much less a sentence. We didn't go far, just to the Denny's about 2 miles away, where we ate a Hot Fudge Brownie and occupied a booth for much longer than our server would have liked. It was nice to be able to connect with each other and talk about more than just our kids and our schedules (although both of those things came up in conversation).
