Day 7: LifeGroup

Wednesday nights we lead a LifeGroup in our home, which we've done for a year with LifeSong (our current church home) and 10 years or so before that with our "old" church in Knoxville. Some people call them small groups or cell groups or home groups, but basically it's a group of people coming together for Bible study, prayer, fellowship, missions work and in our case, dinner. All LifeGroups at our church are doing a study on The Purple Book this spring. I thought it was kind of neat that my Bible has a matching purple cover and the Sharpie I was using last night was also purple. Coincidence? I think not! Anyway, we know from past experience that LifeGroups can become like a second family if you give them the chance and let them get to know the real you. I'm still in touch with people who were part of my small group 10 years ago! Our current group is coming together very well and I think we have the potential to develop that same family feeling.
